Nice flashlight, focus function is not perfect

Very good quality light; I bought one for each of my kids because it does not have the ridiculous retina-frying brightness of other flashlights. The only reason for the lost star in the rating is because it cannot be focused into a tight spot beam. It still has an ok spot that can get out a little ways, but it would be nice if the focus slide would be designed to go a little farther. I suppose this is a trade off to make it more compact, but another 1/4" of length would not have been a drawback for me.
