Operation Instructions
On/Off: Press and release button on tail cap to turn the light on and off.
Cycle Modes: First turn the light on by pressing down the button on the tail cap, half-press the button to cycle through modes (High/Low).
Focus Head: To focus the light beam, gently push the head away from the light to extend it. Pull the head towards you to widen the beam.
Charging Instructions
To charge the LP1044, locate the charging port beneath the sliding cover near the head of the pen light. Slide the cover toward the tail cap to reveal the port.
Using the included USB-C charging cable, insert the smaller end into the charging port on the pen light. Plug the larger end into a USB wall adapter.
An indicator light next to the charging port will turn red while charging. Once fully charged, it will turn blue.
The LP1044 has a charge time of approximately 3 hours.
Using AAA Batteries

Remove the Tail Cap:
Twist the tail cap counterclockwise to remove it. -
Remove the Rechargeable Battery:
Tip the light downward to slide out the rechargeable battery. Store it in a cool, dry, and protected place. -
Insert AAA Batteries:
Insert two AAA batteries with the positive (+) ends facing forward into the light. -
Replace the Tail Cap:
Press down lightly and twist the cap clockwise until securely tightened.
Note: If the light won't be used for an extended period, remove the batteries and store them in a dry, protected place to prevent leakage or damage.

It's often dark when start on my morning walk. I carry the pen-sized light. It's so easy to turn on and off. I use it to navigate in the garage when I slip in to drop off recyclable items, when I encounter a particularly dark spot on my route, as a headlight so car drivers are sure to see me, as a signal to the grounds-keeping staff that I know they're coming up behind me. I'll be honest — I didn't buy this flashlight for myself. I bought it because I have three kids with three cars, and the thought of any of them stranded on the side of the road at night with nothing but their phone flashlight was enough to send me straight to the checkout button.
The LUXPRO Rechargeable Focusing Penlight fit the brief perfectly. It's slim enough to actually live in a glovebox without taking up real estate, light enough that nobody's going to complain about it being there, and — most importantly — it actually works when you need it. 360 lumens sounds modest until you're the one changing a tire in the dark or trying to read a street sign in the rain. The focusing feature is the part I didn't expect to love as much as I do. You can go from a wide flood to a tight beam depending on what you need, which is genuinely useful versus just having one mode that's "fine." The rechargeable piece is huge for this use case specifically. With regular battery-powered lights, the batteries slowly die in the glovebox and the flashlight is useless exactly when you need it most. This one charges via USB so it's easy to top off and actually stays ready. All three kids have been instructed to keep it charged. Two out of three are following instructions. That's a win in my house.
If you're a parent and your kid drives, just buy this. It's $40 worth of peace of mind that fits in a glovebox.
