Strong, bright 15W, no flicker, remembers brightness, removable 18650 battery

I love this headlamp because it gets so much right (and I've tested many). Sturdy metal shell that sinks heat. Strong plastic head mount. Secure strap. Good button control that remembers brightness. No PWM dimming flicker. 18650 removable battery. The only minor missing thing is a dust cover for USB-C charging port.Button control: press to cycle between 33%, 20%, 1%, off. After two seconds press turns directly off and remembers brightness next time it's turned on. Long-press always turns light on to maximum 100% brightness.Light is beam is fairly contained in front. Very bright on maximum, 1500 lumens stated seems accurate. Color is neutral temperature, not overly blue (see spectrum). Light brightness stays constant for a while when turned on, doesn't slowly dim as some flashlights do. No PWM dimming flicker. Draws 4A (15W) on maximum brightness.Fits well and securely. Top strap can be removed. Padded forehead plate. Plate is strong, thick plastic. Light can point down for close work or straight for far work. Nothing illuminated on light to distract in face.Removable 18650 2.2Ah battery. This lets you have extra batteries charged and ready, and replace battery after it's worn out over the years. Included battery IS 5mm longer than others, but I tried a normal bump-top 18650 and it worked fine (and I had to unscrew battery cover many turns before it disconnected and light turned off, so spring is making good contact).

After only a couple of hours, it's already my faborite headlamp. (I have 4).

The major advantage this headlamp has over other headlamps that use 18650 batteries is that the battery compartment is in the front, leaving the back to be "mostly" smooth. The other headlamps typically have the battery compartment behind the head. While this helps a lot with balancing the headlamp on your noggin, this setup is not ideal when working under a car. For me, having the battery compartment in the front is a major plus.As for built quality, this headlamp is top notch. Very well built. As far as comfort, it is a tad bit heavier than other headlamps that also have the compartment in the front. But only slightly. One thing I did notice, is that the battery, while it claims to be an 18650 battery, it is a bit longer than the common 18650 battery. The disadvantage of this is that unless you have long batteries, you cannot swap out a dead battery for a charged battery. You have to plug in the entire headlamp to charge. If you are in the middle of a job, this is going to be a bummer.Overall though, I'm VERY happy with my acquisition.

LUXPRO XP780 Pro Series LED Headlamp

This headlamp is bright, comfortable to wear, and perfect for hands-free lighting. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time, and the multiple modes are great for different tasks. I do wish the charging port had a cover for extra protection, but it’s a solid headlamp for outdoor use.

It's everything I want in a headlamp (almost)

This is pretty much my ideal headlamp because it's simple, rugged AF, puts out a great amount of light, and has a replaceable battery. And it has a magnet so you can magnet it in place. Nice attention to detail! The build of the lighting unit is similar to an aluminum tube flashlight but with the the LEDs mounted on the side instead of on the end of the tube. Regarding that aluminum tube (I assume it's aluminum) - they did not skimp on the metal. The thing is solid. The there's the battery. It's a standard 18650 rechargeable battery. This is a wonderful thing because the headlamp will still be useful after the original battery quits holding a charge. This is also where I semi-jokingly say -almost- perfect. My perfect light could also take AA or AAA, but that's not going to happen in as compact a device as this. Big win using an 18650.Then there's the light out put. It has normal headlight mode (quick button press), dim headlight mode (second button press), and light up the night mode (long button press). To be honest, I think I'll use it in normal headlight mode 99% of the time. It's enough for most things. But then there's the times you really need to illuminate your surroundings. Like when looking for a lost pet.The strap and hinge is interesting. The hinge is simply two plastic pieces that snap onto the aluminum tube. The tube, being a cylinder, can be roated after being snapped in place. Pretty clever.
